  •         Technical problems
  •          Delivery issues
  •          Can take longer time than buying in the physical store

Analysis of homepage for 2 E-commerce websites: including comparisons and features improvement

To make it more visual I would like to compare two websites to give you more visual explanation of the previous post. The companies I am going to look into are two outdoor selling goods: Cotswold Outdoor and Blacks. I will focus on the header, main body, footer and looking for the product. https://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/ https://www.blacks.co.uk/ Both sites are very similarly designed. First visible thing that you can see is the SALE picture and clickable categories such as brands, activities or types of clothes. They have logos on the top. Cotswold has it next to the search bar, whereas Blacks has everything in one line. Both have Menu bars but Cotswold has 15 categories right under the search bar. On the right top side there are things like store finder, log in, cart, Wishlist.  Both have nicely designed footer with all the necessary information such as ways to pay, customer service, Q&A.   I don't think there is something that I would change in any of this websites. The Web was originally conceived and developed to meet the demand for automated information-sharing between scientists in universities and institutes around the world. Image source The man who started it all was Michael Aldrich. In 1979 he invented online shopping or precisely saying a teleshopping, which become ecommerce until internet.  It has been said that the idea emerged on the walk with his wife. They were talking about how nice it would be if they didn't have to waste the time doing shopping and instead the shopping could be delivered to them. So he came up with the idea to connect phone and TV and that's how he created a system which he named "teleshopping".
